Christmas In August Weekend
This weekend was full of the Holiday spirit! With a planned snow storm, site decorating, a caroling Hayless Hayride and more and everyone was sure to have a great time!!

Planned Snow Storm: August 2, 2003 On Saturday Lone Oak campers of all ages met on the rec field at 2pm for a planned snow storm! The North Canaan Volunteer Fire Department brought three of their fire trucks to participate in this activity. The campers stayed for an hour of snowy fun. Whether they went down the slide or just stayed to the side to watch, everyone had a good time.
		First, the firefighter sprayed the soapy mix onto the tarp to make it slippery.				Then, kids lined up in groups to slide down!
		Thomas enjoyed playing in the suds!				Fawn helped the little ones.
		The firefighter had to climb up the ladder to spray water from above.				The kids liked to play in the suds at the bottom of the slide.
Presents With Santa: August 3, 2003 On Sunday morning the young campers met on the rec field for presents with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
	Little ones waited for their turn to see Santa.					Eli got a cool Spiderman glove.
		Kids played at the playground after they saw Santa!				Rachel got a princess movie book!
